What's a Shred Event?
PRSS provides services for dozens of shred events in Southern California each year! A shred event is when a company, individual, city or state hosts free shredding services for their community or customers. Events typically run for between 3 and 4 hours and are a great way to connect and serve your community.
How much paper can a truck hold?
All of our shred trucks hold approximately 350 Boxes worth of paper. This would service roughly 150 visitors per event!
How do I make my shred event successful?
Making a shred event successful can be different for everyone, here are some common tips to help!
- Plan ahead and book well in advance, we recommend at least 3 months before.
- Pick a venue that easily accessible.
- Make sure there is plenty of room for a line of cars.
- Inform customers of what they can dispose of, paper, staples, binders and clips are all fine!
- Set limits on the number of boxes per visitor, remember the truck only hold 350 boxes.
- Promote your event! Use social media, Facebook pages, emails and hang signs. Make sure everyone knows about it!
